Weekly Themes

July 1 - July 5: Let Freedom Ring
Join us for the United States of America’s 248th birthday!  This week we will be wearing, eating, and crafting in all things red, white and blue!  Raise your flags and march along with us as we celebrate and learn about the United States.  We will even have a birthday party for Uncle Sam!

July 8 - July 12: Terra AltaLYMPICS
Ever imagined bobsledding in the summertime or being on the artistic swim team?  Well this is your chance! Join us for a week filled with Olympic inspired fun and go for the gold as we compete in our very own third annual Terra Altalympic Games!

July 15 - July 19: Camp WILD Things
Let the Wild Rumpus begin! This week of camp is inspired by the wonderfully imaginative children’s book Where the Wild Things Are! Campers will explore Terra Alta’s wonder-filled hidden places while searching for wild things high and low. Campers will look for mysteries in fallen logs, build forts in the woods and go on adventures just like Max. Will they find monsters, too? Campers will develop a sense of curiosity, and cultivate a love of the natural world this week!

July 22 - July 26: Enchanted Forest
Surrounded by many mysteries, hidden in the tall trees of the Adirondack Mountains, the beings of the land and the water come together to celebrate the beauty of their forest. Some of these magical creatures breathe water, some breathe air, some crawl in the shadows, some live in tree tops and  mountain tops.  This week we will be getting extra dirty and embracing our curiosity while we explore the enchantment that surrounds us! What will we find? We will even go on a hunt for friendly woodland creatures on a hike to the top of Mount Severance this week!

July 29 - August 2: Relax & Rejuvenate
After a busy month, let’s take some time to relax and enjoy all the beauty of the Adirondacks.   Camp will begin daily by learning and practicing yoga poses on the beach. Campers will be reminded this week to slow down and take a closer look at all the designs in nature as a way of inspiring their artistic side. Campers will create mandalas and work on other nature inspired art projects.  This week campers will use their five senses to explore the world's wonders waiting right outside their door.
