The Beyond Requirements: Pathway Determination

For each Beyond cycle, property owners must show that their building(s) are high-performing (Performance Path) or conduct an audit and make improvements to the building (Prescriptive Path). In order to qualify for the Performance Path, buildings must 1) be newly constructed within the last 5 years, or 2) meet energy and water standards .

The Department shall determine the approprate pathway for each building based on the documentation submitted.

Please complete and submit this form by May 15th of the deadline year. One property per form.

Prescriptive Path Declaration Details

This building will follow the Prescriptive Path to meet the Beyond requirements. Under the Prescriptive Path, property managers must conduct an audit under the supervision of a qualified auditor, and then act on the results of the audit to improve the building. I am submitting proof that I have contracted a qualified professional to assist with completing the audit requirements. *

This building is over 40,000 square feet and will be conducting a minimum of an ASHRAE Level II audit to meet the Beyond requirements for energy auditing. Water audits of base building systems shall be performed in accordance with industry standard practices.

This building is less than 40,000 square feet and will be conducting either an ASHRAE Level II audit or an asset score full report to meet the Beyond requirements for energy auditing. Water audits of base building systems shall be performed in accordance with industry standard practices.
