7th Annual O&P Symposium

This full day learning session is designed to educate healthcare professionals on the advancements in the field of orthotics and prosthetics care, technology, and research. Learners will be led through an orthotic treatment program, with the ultimate goal of promoting a multi-disciplinary approach to patients in need of lower limb orthotic rehabilitation programs.

Content will cover an understanding of biomechanics, gait, normal alignment for standing and walking, application of the OSKAR approach with the AFOFC algorithm through stepwise prescription decision examples, and clinical cases.

Learners will discuss immediate and early postoperative prosthetic techniques available, including wound care management; and explore various benefits and risks associated with each treatment option. Each session will include an opportunity to ask questions as the learner begins to think through how they will incorporate this newly learned information into every day practice.
