Contemporary Pediatric Orthotic Management: Optimal Segment Kinematics & Alignment Approach to Rehabilitation (OSKAR)

Program Description:
Pediatric patients require special consideration when designing and implementing a lower extremity orthotic treatment plan--both from the physical therapist and the orthotist. This course will present a way of thinking about the goals of standing and walking to help design appropriate orthoses and define what a good outcome is for our most complex patients. This course also covers the best ways to improve collaboration with your local PT or orthotist, and will stress the importance of patient and parent education.
