Dear Colleagues,

That disparities in access, representation and outcomes in healthcare and surgery exist has been documented for many years. However, this past year of COVID and social justice issues in our nation is a clear call for action. The North Pacific Surgical Association is committed to addressing diversity and inclusion in surgery and as well as eliminating disparities in health/ surgical outcomes for our patients. As such we are encouraging our members, residents and fellows to consider presenting work on these issues in the surgical realm or to consider clinical research projects with an eye towards addressing these issues in surgery in substantive ways that maybe shared at future meetings to encourage all to be involved to change our systems in positive ways.

The abstract deadline is 11:59 pm on Friday, July 2, 2021. We will confirm receipt of all abstracts, so please contact us if you haven’t received confirmation after abstract submission. Abstracts accepted by online submission only.
