Your child’s success is our top priority. To achieve this success, we strongly recommend weekly tutoring sessions scheduled for a set day and time.

Consistency is the key!

**We welcome short-term tutoring support, as long as weekly sessions are scheduled during the short-term period.

We’re proud to share that our tutoring team consists of highly experienced, certified educators, many of whom are full-time teachers in schools across Houston. Teaching is not just our profession—it’s our passion!

Please note: If you're looking for intermittent tutoring sessions on an as-need basis, our tutoring service may not be the best fit for your family, as we cannot guarantee we will have a tutor available when you need one. About the $25 Registration Fee...

For new RTB families…
--A $25 registration fee must be paid before RTB begins the search to find someone wonderful for your child. If a tutor cannot be found in your area, the processing fee is fully refunded.

For ALL RTB Families...

Tutoring Rates:
--In-Home Tutoring - $75 per hour -- $80 for In-Home for ISEE or GT test prep
--Online Tutoring - $65 per hour -- $70 for Online for ISEE or GT test prep

--There is no fee to replace a tutor who is unable to continue working with the family during the SAME school year in which he or she was placed.

--A $25 placement fee is required if your child needs an additional tutor to support a content area outside of the original placement…OR…if a new tutoring placement is needed for the summer or new school year, should the previous tutor no longer be available.

Here's a breakdown of the fee structure:

$25 Registration Fee. This applies to:

All students in Kindergarten through 5th grade.
Students in 6th grade or older who need tutoring in one content area only.

Add'l $25 Fee. This applies to:

Students in 6th grade or older who need a separate tutor for a second content area, bringing the total $50 for having two separate tutors, one for each content area.

Tutoring Policies

The following policies ensure clear expectations and guidelines for both parents and tutors, with a focus on maintaining consistency and respect for everyone's time. If you need further clarification or have any questions, feel free to ask!

Weekly Tutoring Sessions:

--We strongly suggestion scheduling sessions on a consistent day and time each week to ensure the best results.

--Consistency is essential for your child's academic progress, regardless of their current assignment load.

--While occasional cancellations may happen, they should be rare to maintain consistent progress.

In-Home Tutoring:

--An adult must be present at all times during in-home sessions. This adult can be a parent, grandparent, nanny, neighbor, etc. A sibling can be considered an "adult" if they have graduated high school.

--There is no need for an adult to be present during online tutoring sessions.

Alternate Locations:

--If sessions are held at an alternate location (e.g., bookstore, library), parents are responsible for providing transportation. Tutors are not allowed to transport students.

Session Duration:

--In-Home Tutoring Sessions need to run for at least 1 hour.

--Online Tutoring Sessions need to run for at least 30 minutes.

Cancellation Policy:

--If you need to cancel (or reschedule), please contact your tutor directly at least 3 hours before the scheduled session.

--Missed sessions or cancellations made less than 3 hours before the session will still be subject to charge, except in cases of emergencies.

--If your child's tutor needs to cancel or reschedule, they will also provide at least a 3 hours' notice as well, except in cases of emergencies.

The Fine Print

Please read and agree to each of the following tutoring policies and procedures.

I understand the RTB In-Home tutoring rate is $75 per hour ($80 for ISEE/GT Test Prep); Online Session rate is $65 per hour ($70 for ISEE/GT Test Prep)

I understand that once a tutoring placement has been made, I am required to submit a $150 deposit before I can schedule tutoring sessions and that tutoring is to begin within 2 calendar weeks from the date of this registration.

I understand that if I do not submit the $150 deposit and begin sessions within 2 weeks of my registration, an additional $25 fee may be charged to repeat the placement process as the tutor's availability can no longer be guaranteed.

I understand that tutoring invoices are emailed each Sunday evening for the past week’s sessions and that weekly online payments are required - All credit/debit cards are welcomed. Cash/checks not accepted (sorry)

I understand that if I carry a balance of $150 or more, no future sessions can be scheduled with my child’s tutor until payment is made. I also understand that if there is a delay in payment on balances $150 or more, my child’s tutor may not be available for that week.

I understand that RTB tutors, both past and present, who have been placed with families through RTB (or have been introduced to new families through RTB) are not allowed to work independently with families outside of the RTB agreement of terms. All tutors have signed a non-compete agreement to uphold this policy.
