Born out of the financial crisis created by the COVID-19 pandemic, the TX Restaurant Relief Fund’s mission is to provide immediate financial relief to Texas’ independent restaurateurs with funds designed to save employee jobs. During the pandemic, the relief fund raised and distributed more than $3.5 million to support over 800 independent restaurants and their employees.
Today, the TX Restaurant Relief Fund continues to serve its mission by raising and distributing aid when disaster strikes the restaurant community in Texas or beyond. By uniting as one restaurant community under the Restaurants Respond© banner, we can combine the spirit of hospitality with the strength of Texans to help our neighbors in need.
The TX Restaurant Relief Fund and Restaurants Respond© are initiatives of the Texas Restaurant Foundation—a 501(c)(3) non-profit focused on the education and development of Texas’ restaurant industry workforce. All donations are tax-deductible in keeping with applicable laws and regulations.
