2024 Mixologist Participation Form

You’re invited to join us at 2024 Texas Restaurant Awards & Lone Star Bash. Submit your best specialty cocktail recipe and if chosen you will be a mixologist in the 3rd annual Lone Star Bash Cocktail Competition.  

10 finalists will compete during Lone Star Bash during our “party with a purpose”.  A “People’s Choice” style voting will select the favorite cocktail of 2024.  

Lone Star Bash brings together the most celebrated chefs from around the state to support the Texas Restaurant Foundation mission - raising money for scholarships and the TX Restaurant Relief Fund. We’ll kick off the evening with announcing the winners of the 2024 Texas Restaurant Awards.

 Attendees will enjoy chef-prepared tasting bites, live music, as well as beer, wine, cocktails and of course your signature cocktails.    

We anticipate 900+ attendees, so if selected you will be asked to share at least 600, 2 oz tasting samples. This is a unique annual event to highlight your cocktails creations and market to a wide audience of industry professionals.  

At the event, attendees of the Lone Star Bash will be given the chance to vote for their favorite cocktail. An award will go to the "People's Choice" mixologist at the end of the night as well as a $2,500 cash prize.

Schedule

1:00pm - 5:00pm: Chef and Mixologist load-in and set up

5:30pm - 7:30pm: Lone Star Bash - Chef Tastings and Mixology Competition

7:30pm - 9:00pm: Texas Restaurant Awards

9:00pm - 11:00pm: After Party with a Purpose

In submitting this application, the following mixologist agrees to provide the following: 

Mixologist will provide:

At least 650, 2 oz sample size tasting portions

Menus, brochures and other promotional materials you wish to be displayed

Table decorations, serving pieces, tasting cups, any equipment needed

Garnishes

Mixers

TRF will Provide to Mixologists:

3 (12 bottle - 1 litre) cases of your sponsored spirit category liquor

One (1) 4’ table

Access to ice

Black tablecloth

Logistical information prior to the event

Statewide industry promotion via TRF and TRA network channels, including social media, digital and print

A receipt will be provided describing your donation that can be used for your tax purposes.

Two finalists from each sponsored spirit category will be chosen to showcase their cocktail at Lone Star Bash. Please submit your 1st and 2nd spirit category choice and cocktail recipe below. Four (12 bottle - 1 litre) cases of your category liquor will be provided to you. Participants will then be aligned with their respective brand contacts for additional support of your participation.
